CAPITAL CAMPAIGN

 THE FUTURE OF

 ARTS EDUCATION DEPENDS

 ON A FACILITY GEARED FOR

 ARTS STUDENTS & PROGRAMS

ABOUT THE CAPITAL CAMPAIGN

A Capital Campaign for a space is also critical for the arts education future of KC, as venue rental costs continue to raise and availability continues to diminish, youth performing arts programs are faced with increasing tuition prices to students to compete with professional companies vying for the same spaces. KC is an arts community and while that comes with MANY benefits, youth organizations, which already are on a limited budget, face difficulties finding a place for students to perform that's safe and inviting.

Our goal is to eventually have our own space, with rehearsal and performance areas for performing arts organizations all over KC. From private instructors to dance companies to performing arts organizations, we want a financially accessible space for the future of the arts industry to thrive.

OUR PLANS

PHASE 1 - REHEARSAL SPACE

Our first goal is to establish a rehearsal space in an existing location to provide affordable, safe and equipped rehearsal locations for youth performing arts organizations in the KC Metro. This is our initial goal because we can achieve this with a lower entry cost than a full building.

PHASE 2 - BUILDING

Phase 2 of the campaign will comprise of designing and building a brand new Stage Right Arts Foundation building. Our design plans will include rehearsal spaces, a black box theater, a 500-1000 seat theater and private studios. For technical aspects, we plan to have a costume warehouse with the ability for organizations to rent storage space along with a workshop and current sound/lighting technology. All within an energy efficient space that will not only keep operating expenses down, but encourage children to be eco-friendly.
